Phew! What an absolutely incredible day of skiing in Deer Valley!
This resort does it right. From the complimentary ski storage (so you don’t have to lug your skis home after a long day) to how overwhelmingly nice everyone is, this place is spoiling me.
My GoPro camera performed quite well and I’m still learning how to use it to it’s full potential and I definitely need to angle the camera up some more.
Tomorrow I’m going to put a mount on my Aunt’s helmet so she can film me some more and I’m going to get a lot more shots like the ‘fly-by’ shot.
So I’ve figured out what needs to be in my dorm room this year.
Ibraheem Youssef, a Toronto based designer, has made some very awesome movie poster tribute prints for films from directors such as Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino.
From 12 × 18 inches ($35) all the way up to 35 × 52.5 inch prints ($250), these prints are run in limited numbers and I bet this would look smashing on my dorm room wall and potentially on the wall of house in the future.
(That reminds me, I need to print out some posters before school begins!)
Very recently a friend of mine recommended that I watch “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou“. And last night I finally did watch it.
Now, I know this movie is old news to pretty much everyone else as it released in ’04; however, I think that I should just say that this is one of my new favorite movies.
I can’t put my finger on exactly it is about this movie that I love, but I’d suggest grabbing a copy of The Life Aquatic and watching it tonight!
This past Friday (August 13th, 2010), I had the opportunity to support and take photos of my friends in the band Elation. They played at The Boiler Room in downtown Asheville and aside from nearly 90% of their friends and fans not being able to come due to a very strict 18+ policy, everything was awesome!
I took this photograph with my Father’s wide-angle lens with no flash, a 1/5 second exposure, an aperture of f/2.8, and an ISO of 1,600.
